Unfortunately usually not to my knowledge. The prevailing thought is that GBS only infects babies during labor and delivery and parents are often told that GBS is no big deal. Many parents don't realize that GBS can also infect babies up to several months of age (even from sources other than the mother) and often don't recognize the signs and symptoms to get immediate medical treatment.
