Many thanks to the parents and grandparents who have shared their families’ experiences to help prevent GBS disease in other babies. Please learn from their experiences and feel free to share* your own story in one of these categories to help and inspire others:

GBS Babies
Stories of babies who have become infected by GBS before birth up to several months of age.
Share your story

Subsequent Pregnancies or "Rainbow Babies"
This is a collection of stories of pregnancies resulting in healthy siblings born after a baby with GBS disease to encourage other parents to not let GBS rob them of starting a family or having more children. Includes how the mother dealt with her anxiety and concerns.

Possible GBS Infections
A collection of stories of babies where the cause of infection wasn't conclusive for a variety of reasons, but was consistent with GBS infection. Parents should be sensitively encouraged to have pathology testing done to help provide closure and important information for future pregnancies.

Perinatal Infection Stories
This group of stories focuses on parent's experiences with other types of perinatal infection, besides GBS.
Share your story

Maternal Infection Stories
These stories focus on maternal GBS infection, in which a mother experiences illness caused by GBS during pregnancy or peripartum. (Please note that colonization differs from infection. A mother may be colonized with GBS without being infected.)
