WELCOME TO ICGBS 2020
ICGBS 2020 has now concluded. Thank you for your participation!
Approximately 1 in 4 pregnant women carry GBS, which can infect babies during pregnancy through the first few months of life. Not all babies exposed to GBS become infected, but, for those who do, the results can be devastating. GBS can cause babies to be miscarried, stillborn, born prematurely, become very sick, have lifelong handicaps, or die.

Presentations will be uploaded by midnight (00:00) EST [UTC-5] daily for ease of viewing across multiple time zones around the world. Registrants will be able to post comments and questions on each presentation to facilitate discussion with the presenter and other attendees.
Our goal every July is to spread awareness and prevention to parents and health care providers, alike. Through this conference, we hope all attendees gain valuable knowledge and awareness of GBS and the personal and worldwide impact that it can have.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER
GBSI is proud to introduce our keynote speaker, Dr. Carol J. Baker, who has so graciously agreed to share her wealth of knowledge in her presentation. Dr. Baker is a highly accomplished infectious disease clinician, professor of pediatrics, and vaccine expert. Her groundbreaking work resulted in a more than 80% reduction in early-onset GBS disease in the US and has shaped GBS protocols in countries worldwide benefiting countless families.  She continues to work toward a much-needed safe and effective vaccine for pregnant women to prevent maternal infection, stillbirth, and early and late-onset GBS disease. I am personally  appreciative of her championing us GBS parents as we pursue GBS advocacy in memory and honor of our babies.
