  1. Recognize shared findings of bacterial vaginosis (BV), group B streptococcus vaginitis (GBSv), and desquamative Inflammatory vaginitis (DIV)
  2. Recognize distinctive findings of bacterial vaginosis (BV), group B streptococcus vaginitis (GBSv), and desquamative Inflammatory vaginitis (DIV)

Dr. James A. McGregor has served as Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology practicing at UCLA, USC and the University of Colorado Hospital. Dr. McGregor practiced as a fully engaged obstetrician and gynecologist for forty years at Cedars-Sinai/UCLA, Tucson Medical Center and University of Colorado Hospitals until his retirement in 2010. He is currently on Group B Strep International's Board of Directors and shares his expertise with GBSI through giving presentations and talking to providers and parents at perinatal conference exhibits around the world.

I welcome any comments and observations you may have regarding evaluation of vaginosis/vaginitis symptoms to help reduce reproductive loss.

Unfortunately, I can think of several women's experiences (mine included) in which they weren't actually cultured but told to get yeast infection medication over-the-counter for their vaginitis symptoms and it turned out that group B strep was the cause of their baby becoming infected.
