I was able to attend the IMPROVE workshop in person several years ago in Vancouver and found it to be truly enlightening to understand what could be achieved through effectively and compassionately managing perinatal loss. As a stillbirth parent, I appreciated their training for clinicians to explain to parents the difference between clinical and memory photos of their babies and also very importantly to convey to parents where their baby's body would be taken for any pathology testing as well as how the body would be transported and treated with respect. This is a very important training for all healthcare providers involved in perinatal loss management, but I also want to especially encourage the many doulas who are attending ICGBS 2021 to access this training to better be able to advocate for the mothers they are caring for in the event of perinatal loss.

Thanks again.. IMPROVE is the new Standard for medical learning. I will do my best to present to North American providers. Please consider versions suitable for all providers ,families and all their providers. You e-learning modules should be key parts of all med and Nursing, .. and Doula schools … your leading work should be part of every “ facts of life “ education. Thanks again.
