Video of Shanay's grunting, a common sign of GBS meningitis
My little angel born on 10th Jan 2019 as a full term baby, very handsome same like momma. We all were very happy as to have our first child and such a handsome boy. He used to have some respiratory problems but almost all infants have these problems. He recovered from that very easily. On his routine check-up after a month, doctors were happy to see his progress, his weight was good and even height increased. We all were happy to see that.

On the sad morning of 3rd march, he suddenly started crying. He kept on crying even after food and even after offering him so many things, and then he started grunting.  We took him to clinic where doctors said it is a kind of infection, and they need to do blood tests and urine tests. There we found that he also had a fever.

We came home after giving a blood sample and waiting for him to urinate for the sample and realized that he is not urinating as frequent, it was already 4 hours. He finally urinated and we took the sample but his grunting was continuous and we realized that it is serious. We rushed to near by hospital and doctors started attending him. His heart rates were not normal, his blood counts and everything came back drastically abnormal. Doctors of that hospital found that he needed a higher care ICU and decided to shift him to specialty hospital.

There doctors had no option but to put him on a ventilator as he has to stop grunting first. Within a hours my baby was all different, a smiling baby was lost, he was under machines. On 4th we found that his brain is almost dead and there was no hopes left. Everyone who loved him was praying their best. On 5th evening he finally lost the battle of life.

My baby was very brave, I am always proud, he fought his best.

But this is something we never heard of before, people in the world really need awareness of this.

OBSERVE SYMPTOMS / CHECK EVERY POSSIBLE MOVES/ RUSH IF YOU SEE YOUR BABY GRUNTING

IT IS SERIOUS VERY SERIOUS....
