I was induced at 38 weeks and labored for 38 hours. After 16 hours my doctor broke my water leaving baby with ruptured waters for 22 hours. I called my own c section and baby was quickly rushed to NICU. The following morning a doctor walked in our room at 6 am said “your baby has GBS and will be in hospital for the next 12-28 days” and left our room. Shocked and scared we left the hospital without baby and didn’t bring him home till 12 days old. I was really tested and still negative. The hospital refuses to explain how or why my son was so sick.
