Bethany was my second child. I was overjoyed that I was having a little girl. When she was born she was perfect. When she was 8 days old she didn't seem herself. The midwife said it was most probably colic. I knew something wasn't right. I took her to the doctor's the day after. He sent her straight to the hospital. They still didn't know what was wrong but her head started to swell.
Only after her blood tests did they realize she had step B which I had never heard of. There was nothing they could do for her. They turned her life support machine off the next day. I have learned to live with it, but not a day goes by that I don't think of my beautiful baby girl. Since then I have had two healthy boys, but i will never forget my Bethany. xxx
