Annabelle is my third child, third pregnancy. I tested positive for GBS with each one. My labor with Annabelle was 8 hours from onset to birth. I was able to get one dose (3hrs) of antibiotics before delivery. Annabelle was born 8 lbs., 14 oz. Other than having a fever she was normal. She was sent to the nursery for evaluations just like every other baby at our hospital. She was gone for 6 hours before we learned she had sepsis from the GBS infection. She spent 5 days on two different antibiotics.
Annabelle is now a healthy, happy 2 year old.
