My first pregnancy my doctor didn't test for GBS but luckily my son is fine. My second pregnancy I tested positive at 35 weeks and received antibiotics during labor and my daughter is healthy. During my third pregnancy GBS infected my placenta and my son Gabe, causing me to go into preterm labor at 34 weeks. My doctor gave me antibiotics right away. My son Gabe was born the next day. He was infected with GBS, but I got antibiotics during labor. He spent two weeks in the NICU because he was a preemie. He never had any complications from GBS. Thank God my doctor gave me antibiotics soon enough.
